When the lovely folks at Silver Fleet got in touch with our Julia asking if she wanted to take a peek at this brand new space near Waterloo, we jumped at the chance to attend a real life site inspection!  The second one in a week – socially distanced of course! So here it is, a snapshot of this Extraordinary New Floating Landmark.

A beautiful, light filled floating oasis has just opened its doors moored on the river Thames, on the Embankment taking the space of an original Victorian Pier and long awaited home to Woods Silver Fleet. The spaces lends itself to any type of event, a meeting, dinner or networking event. It’s an incredible, flexible, black canvas with a wraparound outside deck!

“A NEW CHAPTER for an AGE OLD STORY”

After an extensive refurb, The Mitre Hotel in Hampton Court opened it’s doors on the first week of September 2020 with a bang and Inspirational Venues & Events were delighted to be invited by The Signet Collection to take a (socially distanced) look around!

Their website statement: A refined yet relaxed boutique hotel on the banks of the River Thames next to Hampton Court Palace. After an extensive makeover, the Mitre is where quirky British sensibility meets elegant authentic luxury. We blend the old with the new, the refined with the comfortable, and the local with the worldly and we think that they are totally on the money.

This Grand II listed hotel sits on the riverside edge, just a few minutes walk from Hampton Court Station and Hampton Court Palace. It boasts 36 bedrooms, 2 of which are beautiful suites and 2 meeting rooms plus a library. There are 3 restaurants across the hotel, 1665 (fondly named after the year it was built), Orangery and Coppernose. As if the riverside terrace wasn’t enough, there’s another huge draw factor to the Al Fresco dining setting – the first ever Whispering Angel bar. It holds an impressive 9L bottle of floral wine, perfect for a large group to get through on a summers evening.

As we walked around the hotel you still hear the slight creak in the floorboards, feeling the history around you but in our opinion, its a perfect combination of old meets new.

Inspirational Venues & Events are really excited about The Mitre Hampton Court and think its just perfect those residential (note 36 bedrooms total) or day meetings (up to 50 people) with a difference for Clients that are looking to escape the city but not travel too far (Waterloo to Hampton Court in 40 minutes!). Team building can be easily sourced too including Private Boat options for up to 50 guests. They also have big plans for 2021 – in the Summer we’ll see them hosting event activities on the water such as paddle boarding and kayaking. The Brewery Tasting Experience Blog

When I think of Summer I think blue skies, colourful flowers and tropical fruit- If you put all three together it makes for a fabulous Summer Party Theme and The Brewery have definitely  got it just right! 
 
We were greeted with a delicious gin cocktail on arrival and continued through to a marquee of paradise. Unusual flowers were dotted around with a beach hut located in the very middle, you felt like you were on holiday. 
 
To say the food was delicious is the understatement of the year! The tasting menu consisted of light and fresh ingredients that certainly took our taste buds on a journey.

Not only was the food presented in interesting ways for example, Cheese Snacks that are identical to cigars in The Brewery’s very own cigar box, but the incorporation of unusual flavours gave the menu a twist. Who wouldn’t want to try Cheddar Cheese Ice Cream!?
 
Providing each guest with the opportunity to choose their own desert and customize it with a selection of sauces was also a lovely touch. It provided a sense of nostalgia- just like choosing your favourite ice cream while on holiday as a child. 
 
For parties of 60 or more the Brewery’s marquee is a the perfect option for Summer Parties- the Inspirational Venue Team are definitely excited to find out the theme for Summer 2017!

Canopy – Hilton London Hotel

Brand New Canopy Hotel in London Hilton worldwide has announced its plans to open a £76 million hotel development in Aldgate and is expected to open in early 2018. Its launch will follow the opening of the world’s first Canopy by Hilton in Reykjavik this summer.

Gary Steffen, global head at Canopy by Hilton, said: “Aldgate was chosen for its proximity to both the stylish City of London and the more edgy and energetic East End.” The company will join forces with 4C Hotel Group to open a Canopy property. Canopy is Hilton’s first ‘lifestyle’ brand designed to act as a ‘natural extension’ of each hotel’s neighbourhood. The new development will also feature a public green garden, a public square, an office building and a new residential building alongside the Canopy by Hilton. Its interior design will draw on the history of the Whitechapel gallery and the cultures in the surrounding area. The hotel will feature meeting rooms, a ground floor lobby designed to reflect the neighbourhood, a hotel restaurant, rooftop bar, a fitness centre and complimentary wi­fi.

Another InterContinental in France – why we think its the perfect addition

InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand was converted from the former Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa, this historic building has had a full refurbishment to create a more contemporary feel. The stylish decor emulates that of most of the InterContinental properties, marrying elegance with brilliant service however still keeping the traditional features of the building.

The hotel comprises of 130 bedrooms, 44 of them being suites. We believe this would be ideal for a residential conference or special award ceremony considering the stunning ballroom can accommodate 250 people.

Let’s not forget the gem of this hotel, Gordon Ramsey’s Le Pressoir d’ Argent. The fine dining restaurant has taken resident at the hotel to provide beautiful dishes.
