Chewton Glen

To coincide with our 1st birthday, we decided to arrange our first client overnight fam trip! We wanted the WOW factor and was certainly blown away by the attention to detail, quality of food, service and friendliness of the staff not forgetting the beautiful setting and the stunning facilities
all of which makes up this amazing venue.

Overview

After a healthy lunch in the Pool Side Bar we were escorted to the most beautiful well appointed bedrooms. Flooded with natural daylight, a huge bed that I had to jump on immediately, plentiful storage a huge bathroom with every amenity you can think of and more.

Welcome notes and champagne on ice in the rooms really impressed our clients. Plus a balcony overlooking the lawns.

Each bedroom has something unique, no two are the same which helps with large groups – everyone really does have the best room!

Activity

Transported in style to the exclusive Yacht Club, our group jumped on “Nimrod” and hit the Solent for a Rib Blast!

After all of that excitement, our group had some much needed down time in the spa. Some visited the golf course (other facilities include tennis – indoor & outdoor and cycling through the forest – bicycles can be arranged FOC)

In the evening, we met up for pre “drink” drinks and had a walk around the hotel checking out the meeting/private dining spaces and stunning master suites that can be used for meetings, pre-dinner drinks and private dining on the terraces.

Your golf buggy awaits!

Pre dinner drinks & canapes in the Tree Houses!

Private Dining in The Wine Room

Dining from the al la carte menu, we took AGES to choose our starters and main courses from the delicious menu which included Scallops, Lobster, Fillet Steak and Lamb…..once dishes were finally chosen, the sommelier paired each dish with wine! What a treat!

The lamb was described as “an adventure on a plate!”

Menu’s returned for dessert choices – but throughout the day, we heard whispers about the Baked Alaska! Everyone was intrigued!

Introducing a Chewton Glen first……The Quad Baked Alaska

After a nightcap, our beds were calling after such a fun afternoon and evening. The following morning, our wake up call along with coffee and muffins was knocking on the door. Considering we had such a big feast the night before, I couldn’t wait for breakfast. A selection of pastries, fruit, cereal, cold meats, cheese etc are available alongside a cooked breakfast.

I’d recommend the scrambled eggs with salmon! The feedback was phenomenal with a number of clients already speaking with their CEO’s and VPs to recommend Chewton Glen as a must see venue!

With special thanks to Lisa Lernoux-Dock and the Team at Chewton Glen.
